Each year\, we have the opportunity to bless families in our community by providing gifts for children from two of our Community Impact partner organizations\, Coldwater and Journey for Life. When you “adopt” a child\, you’re not just giving presents—you’re reminding them that they are seen\, valued\, and loved. Living for Jesus means serving others\, and this is a simple but powerful way to do just that. Stop by the atrium before or after service to choose a child or family to adopt and help make their Christmas truly magical. \nTags will be available in the Community Impact area of our atrium starting November 9th\, and gifts are due back no later than December 7th. We’re collecting food donations to help pack our Thanksgiving meal boxes\, which will be distributed in November to families in need. Have your kiddos bring along either a bag of regular-sized marshmallows or a small bag of brown sugar to help feed families right here in Kansas City. All our Journey Kids will also get a special treat of their own! We ask that your kids please not bring weapons or wear scary costumes.

We will come together to talk about what spiritual leadership looks like in your home and proactively build a realistic discipleship plan for your family. \nWe will equip you with tools\, resources\, community\, and milestone events. The second session of this class will be focused on partnering with the church and looking at what ministry looks like at the different stages and ages as your new little ones develop. \nThe first session of this group will meet on Sunday\, September 21st at 7:45 A.M. in the Prayer Room. The second session will meet at the same time\, in the same place on Sunday\, September 28th.
