WHERE: Mother’s Refuge
WHAT: Mother’s Refuge is a home for young moms, typically aged 12-21, who have nowhere else to stay but want to choose life for their babies. We’ll be sorting, organizing, and cleaning in their home in Independence. Volunteers must be 18 or older to serve. Below is the job split between the three groups:
Group 1:
- Cleaning/washing vehicles
- Yard work
- Gardening
- Making bracelets (The bracelets help them spread awareness and raise funds for their program)
Group 2:
- Cleaning indoors
- Organizing/sorting donations
- Painting/staining fence
- Making bracelets (The bracelets help them spread awareness and raise funds for their program)
Group 3:
- Making bracelets (The bracelets help them spread awareness and raise funds for their program)
- Painting trim & rooms/touchups
- Organizing store/craft area(s)
- Cleaning indoors
