Throughout the Bible, God asks that we share the Gospel and make disciples. But that calling isn’t limited to the borders of our city, our nation, or even our continent. In Mark 16:15, Jesus says, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”
It’s because of the Great Commission that we’re so passionate about global missions. We may just be a church in Lee’s Summit, but we want to have a lasting impact around the world. There are many ways we accomplish this, but most of our efforts can be grouped into three areas:
We believe that every person at Journey who is a follower of Jesus has a responsibility to be involved in missions through actively praying, giving, or going (Pray. Give. Go.). Missions isn’t just for missionaries; we all have an important part to play!
