We believe we’re called to be a church that is for our community, not just in our community, and we’re constantly seeking out ways to be the hands and feet of Jesus to a broken and hurting world.
We’ve made our home in Lee’s Summit and want to use our platform to help those around us in need, while living out God’s Word. You don’t have to travel across the world to make a lasting impact and share Jesus. We offer many service opportunities throughout the year right here in our community.
Our local outreach focuses on four key areas: poverty relief, strengthening families, serving those who serve, and supporting schools.

We strive to support positive change throughout our community all year long! One way we do this is with Saturday Serves. Every first and second Saturday of the month, we partner with local ministries to serve them in whatever capacity they need. While we encourage everyone to participate in Saturday Serves, we have opportunities to serve in our community every single week! Serve alongside refugees from Africa as we work together to remodel homes for refugee families! This is a kid-friendly event; children are welcome, with adult supervision. No skill or experience is required—just a heart to love others! Lunch is provided.
Join us as we build relationships and minister to the residents of the Foxwood East neighborhood near Swope Park. We’ll share a meal, get to know the neighbors, make a craft, play games, and work to build relationships that will open doors for Gospel transformation!
RefugeKC exists to welcome refugees as our New American Neighbors through Gospel-focused ministries of mercy. You’ll be serving lunch to their ESL students. You can sign up at the Serve Saturday link to serve lunch OR donate lunch items!
Sleep In Heavenly Peace’s goal is that no child would sleep on the floor in our town! They accomplish this by building and delivering beds to kids who might otherwise have nowhere to sleep. Join us the second Saturday of every month to serve with this amazing ministry!
Serve Week is one of our largest annual events and is jam-packed with different ways to give back to Kansas City. During Serve Week 2025, we saw huge impact in our city! In just one week, we saw over 1,000 volunteers serve almost 2,500 hours at nearly 100 different serve projects in our community. This year, we’re gearing up for even bigger impact!
