Life is full of ups, downs, and in-betweens. But whatever the season, we’re better and stronger when we put our trust in Christ. This is even more true when we surround ourselves with a supportive and encouraging network of like-minded believers. In fact, Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
Our Life Track small groups are designed to help you find community while growing in your faith. Regardless of your age, gender, marital status, or life season, we welcome you with open arms.

This six-week class will come alongside parents who are raising families in the unique culture of blended families to help them learn how to build foundations for a strong family core. We will study Blended Not Broken by Tim and Olivia Smith and Christie Meldrim and cover such topics as the importance of marriage in the blended family and the challenges facing the role of the step-parent. Our prayer is to offer hope and support for your blended family!
This four-week class, which will be offered at multiple times throughout each year, is for all dating and engaged couples. We will address important topics such as God’s purpose and plan for marriage, how to communicate and manage conflict in marriage, understanding roles and expectations in marriage, and other important issues all couples heading toward marriage need to address.
During this class, we’ll be participating in an interactive series developed by parenting experts Doug and Cathy Fields titled Intentional Parenting.
You are the GREATEST influence on the life of your child (no matter what their age). As we read The Pursuit of Holiness together, renowned author Jerry Bridges helps us see where we should rely on God―and where we should accept responsibility. John Eldredge describes the journey of healing and restoration that God wants to take every man on so that they can begin to live life the way he intended for them: free and from their restored masculine heart. This group starts September 12th. We will meet Tuesdays at 6:30 P.M. at the church.
This group is for young couples who are newly married or just beginning their marriage. The goal of this group is to help young couples build friendships with other couples in the same season of their marriage and to grow spiritually together. This group will read and discuss Love and Respect by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.
This group meets at the church Monday evenings at 6:30 P.M. Childcare is available with pre-registration.
Here at Journey, we understand that life gets messy, which is why we host our Monday night Care Groups. We’ve formatted these small groups specifically to help those of us who have experienced trials in life, such as marital and parenting issues, divorce, financial obstacles, teen and/or unexpected pregnancies, or grief over many types of loss. Our Care Group leaders have all walked through whatever season of life you find yourself in, and are passionate about teaching you Biblical truths, providing spiritual encouragement, and fostering much-needed community to help you through difficult times.
Regardless of what small group or Bible study you choose, many of our groups have content and/or breakouts specifically for men, women, and couples. Most groups in our Life Track will start as a large group, and will break out into small groups after a brief message. You can view more about each breakout category below.
Our Life Track small groups in Lee’s Summit are a place where people can share in the joys of life together, support each other during difficult times, and grow deep, meaningful relationships with one another—all while fostering a lasting, beneath-the-surface transformation in your relationship with Christ.
Journey’s Life Track groups aren’t just for experiencing life; they’re life-changing, as well. Groups vary based on group content and what season of life you’re in, and meet throughout the week at various locations, including at our church in Lee’s Summit.
If you feel called to lead a small group at our church in Lee’s Summit, that’s great! Learn how you can make an impact on other believers and provide guidance as they deepen their faith.
