The Christmas season is often one of the busiest for all of us. Between family get-togethers, office holiday parties, shopping for gifts, and preparing for a new year, it’s so easy to get caught up in the chaos of Christmas.
And yet, on a quiet night more than 2,000 years ago, the Son of God was born. Today, we are called to stop in the midst of the busy-ness, be still, and remember the profound gift of our Savior.
No matter where you find yourself this Christmas season, we hope you’ll consider joining us in remembrance and celebration during one of our Christmas Eve services. Whether you attend our church, a different church, or haven’t set foot in a church in decades, you’re welcome here at Journey Church in Lee’s Summit.
To help us plan for each service, we ask that you RSVP for the service you plan on attending. Registration is not required and registering doesn’t guarantee you a seat. This simply helps us plan for resourcing and childcare.
Below, you’ll see buttons in different colors to indicate how full a service is. If you want to be guaranteed a seat, we recommend registering for a service that isn’t marked yellow or red, if your schedule allows.
Free childcare will be available at every service for children aged six weeks to kindergarten. Elementary, middle, and high school students are welcome to attend the adult services in our Worship Center. We will have activity bags for younger children to help them stay engaged during each service, as well as a wiggle room for kids who need a break.
If it’s your first time at Journey, you can pre-register your kids online to save a little time before service. Pre-registration is not required.
Regardless of what day or service time you choose to join us, all of our Christmas Eve services are identical. Each service will start with a contemporary worship set followed by an insightful Christmas message. We will end each service with family communion and prayer.
Give yourself some extra time after service to enjoy a Christmas-themed photo booth, a free coffee and hot cocoa bar, beautiful décor, and more. All services will also be streamed live for those who cannot attend in person.
Parking is plentiful, but expect it to be full at every service. We recommend arriving in plenty of time to secure a parking spot close to the building. Handicap parking is located near every public entrance of our building, and we reserve some of our closest, non-handicapped parking spots in our northeast lot for first-time guests.
