In an effort to serve our community’s physical needs as well as their spiritual needs, we will be delivering free Thanksgiving meal boxes to families at their homes on Saturday, November 22nd. Our Thanksgiving Meal boxes are one the biggest ways we serve the community during the holiday season. Keep reading for additional details about the different ways you can get involved!
If you know someone who might be in need of a Thanksgiving meal this holiday season, we encourage you to share the box reservation link with them. Anyone can sign up for a box, and boxes will be given on a first registered, first-served basis. We have a total of 200 boxes that will be available for reservation. Limit one box per household. On November 22nd, someone over the age of 18 will need to be present at the address given to receive the box.
FOOD DONATIONS
Leading up to delivery day, we’ll be collecting food donations all season long. We’ll be collecting donations at the church up until November 9th, at which point all donations are due. You can even ship something to the church as long as it will arrive prior to November 5th.
RECEIVING, SORTING & PACKING
We’ll need volunteers helping collect donations every Sunday at the Community Impact kiosk in the atrium. In addition, we’ll need teams on November 9th to help sort donations and pack boxes.
BOX DELIVERY
Finally, we’ll need volunteers on-hand the day of (November 22nd) to help load boxes into vehicles, as well as delivery drivers! Each delivery team will work a one-hour shift between 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Deliveries will not exceed 10 miles from the church unless you’ve agreed to go further.
