Welcome to Journey. We’re so glad you’ve found us! Finding a new church home can be intimidating, but our hope is that we can help make it a little less daunting.
Our mission at Journey is to see people far from God become passionate Christians who make a difference in the world. When you’re here, we truly want you to feel like our church community is your home. No matter how old you are, what your marital status is, where you live, what season of life you’re in, or how far you are in your walk with Christ, our church welcomes you with open arms and provides a place for you to connect with Jesus and join in community.

Whether you want to learn more about your unique design, find ways to serve, meet new people, or get plugged in, Growth Track is the perfect place to do all of this and more. Growth Track is our primary opportunity for you to learn more about our church in Lee’s Summit, discover how God uniquely made you, develop your influence, make a difference for the Kingdom, and become a disciple who makes disciples. Growth Track is comprised of several steps, but you can jump in any time! Join us every week during the 9:30 A.M. service in the Growth Track room.
We offer a variety of small groups at Journey, no matter what stage of life you’re in or how much biblical knowledge you have. With four distinct discipleship tracks — Jesus Track, Scripture Track, Life Track, and Leadership Track — there’s truly something for everyone. Explore our options for joining a group that helps you grow spiritually and find community.
Student Night is a chance for middle and high school students to hear the Gospel and build relationships with other believers their age. Services happen every Wednesday, with Middle School beginning at 6:15 P.M. and High School beginning at 7:15 P.M. Each service consists of corporate worship, biblical teaching, and small group discussions. Our Wednesday night services are only the beginning, so be sure to check out all that our Student Ministry has to offer!
As a Christian church, one of our hopes and prayers is to encourage and equip parents as spiritual leaders and introduce kids to Jesus in a way that’s easy to understand and fun. Our early childhood programming is for birth through kindergarten, while our elementary programming is for school-aged kids in first through fifth grade. It’s more than just childcare – it’s soul care. We can’t wait to help your whole family know Jesus better!
When you’re hurting, our Spiritual Care Team and Care Groups are ready to help, encourage, and support you. You don’t have to go through it alone; our church is here for you. Discover small groups you can sign up for when life gets hard, or fill out our Spiritual Care Card to submit a prayer request or spiritual care need.
Our prayer guide is designed to help you get more comfortable having daily conversations with God. In it, you’ll learn how Jesus teaches us to pray and have space to write in daily and weekly entries that give purpose and structure to your prayer life. At the end of the day, we want you to know Jesus, not Journey. Our sermons are based in biblical truth and provide solid teaching for wisdom and practical living. Check out past messages and then join us again this Sunday.
