At its core, “ministry” is defined as any activity carried out by Christians to express or spread their faith. We are called to love God (Matthew 22:36-37), love our neighbors (Matthew 22:39), and make disciples of the nations (Matthew 28:18-20).
But we can’t be effective in serving others and fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives without finding ways to strengthen our own relationships with Jesus. At Journey Church International, we offer a diverse range of church ministries for just this reason. No matter your age or stage of life, it’s important to take time to deepen your faith and form connections with other like-minded believers so you can step fully into your calling.

At Journey, we’re passionate about kids and helping them understand God’s love for them. Our church’s kids ministry is centered around a curriculum that’s not only easy to understand and age-appropriate, but a lot of fun, too! It’s our goal to inspire your kids to follow Jesus and show them how they can become passionate Christians who make a difference in the world.
Our Journey Kids ministry includes both Journey Junior (Jr.) and JKids. Journey Jr. is designed for infants and children through kindergarten, while JKids is for school-aged kids in first through fifth grade.
Our students are on fire for Jesus! Every Wednesday evening, our youth group in Lee’s Summit gathers to hear the Gospel and build relationships. During this time, students experience God through worship, engage in small groups, and are equipped with practical teachings through Bible study. Although the format of our services is slightly different each week, we focus on these primary components to help students grow in their faith.
Our Student Ministry is for middle and high school students and takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. on Wednesdays. See you there?
Young adults are in a unique season of life. Our Young Adult church ministry provides a supportive environment for college-aged adults to form lasting relationships and share the love of Christ. Individuals will experience community through worship services, weekly small groups, and fellowship with one another.
Journey College & Young Adults happens weekly on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. in the Auditorium at our church in Lee’s Summit.
God doesn’t care about your marital status, whether you have kids or not, or how long you’ve been a Christian. What He does care about is that you shine His light and exemplify His love as you navigate life.
