God doesn’t want us to do life alone. The Bible even tells us that in addition to our relationship with Jesus, we need to nurture our relationships with one another. While we want you to enjoy yourself and make connections at our Sunday services, real and lasting relationships are found in our small groups. In our groups, you will be encouraged to grow spiritually and find community.
When you join one of our small groups, you’ll get to take part in in-depth Bible study while also building lasting friendships. We have a number of active groups at our church in Lee’s Summit, so you can find the community that’s just right for you. Wherever you are in life — single or married, kids or no kids, new or lifelong Christian — there’s a place for you here.
No matter what group (or groups!) you choose to join, our primary focus is to help one another grow as Christians, so we can go out and share the Gospel through community and global church outreach.
The first step in doing that is finding your people! We recognize that community is often more easily built among people with whom you have something in common. That’s why we have small groups for men, small groups for women, couples Bible studies, young adult groups, and more.

We have a wide variety of groups for Journey ladies.
Grow with your spouse and with each other.
Do this season of life with other Christ-followers.
In addition to finding your people, we also want to equip each of you to grow spiritually. All of our small groups are centered around a discipleship process that breaks out into four distinct Discipleship Tracks: Jesus Track, Scripture Track, Life Track, and Leadership Track. In fact, you may even hear us refer to our small groups as discipleship groups because we believe so strongly in experiencing spiritual growth.
Our goal in creating this discipleship process is for everyone to participate in a group within each Track over a four-year period. Doing this allows you to study the Bible closer than you ever have before and form meaningful connections with like-minded individuals.
Leading one of our local church groups is a great opportunity to impact others and help believers take their next spiritual step. You don’t need any special experience or knowledge to be a group leader (just a heart for Jesus!), but there are a few simple tasks we’d like you to complete, so you’re set up for success.
