GROUPS AT JOURNEY

We’re passionate about building community and enjoying fellowship with one another outside of Sunday services. That’s why small groups are such a vital part of our church in Lee’s Summit. God intended for us to do life together. The Bible tells us that we were created to live in community with one another, and that it’s a vital part of a full life.

GROW IN CHRIST WITH ONE ANOTHER

We also believe small groups should continually help us deepen and grow in our walk with Jesus, which is why we do small groups a little bit differently. Our small groups are built around a discipleship process that we categorize into four distinct Discipleship Tracks: Jesus Track, Scripture Track, Life Track, and Leadership Track. All of our small groups fall within one of these four Tracks.

We would love for everyone in our church to participate in a small group, and our goal in creating this discipleship process is for everyone to participate in a group in each Track over a four-year period. Experiencing each Track will allow you to deepen your relationship with Jesus, as well as make life-long connections with small groups of like-minded individuals.

Group Childcare

Limited childcare is available for children aged six weeks through 5th grade for small groups that meet at Journey in Lee’s Summit. Childcare is first come, first served for those who register and pay ahead of time. Note that Monday night childcare is ONLY for Care Groups, and does not require payment (but advanced registration is still required.)

The cost of childcare for this semester is $40 per family, regardless of group length.

If you’re in need of childcare, please indicate this in the appropriate field on the individual group registration forms. You will be taken through an additional process after you register for a group to sign up and pay for childcare.

WANT TO LEAD A GROUP?

You don’t need any special experience or knowledge to be a group leader. All you need is a heart for Jesus and a willingness to let God use you in new ways.
