The Life Track will equip you to apply Biblical truth in every season of life. Hear more about Life Track groups from Mike Evans, our Adult Discipleship pastor, and view the groups available within this Track.

Emotionally Healthy Relationships (EHR) is a continuation of our Emotionally Healthy Discipleship groups (which covered Emotionally Healthy Spirituality in the fall). EHR will teach you core biblical principles to guide you and others into an experience of discipleship that will deeply change your life. Each week, we will learn a new, practical relationship skill to develop mature, loving relationships with others, such as:

  • Stop Mind Reading and Clarify Expectations
  • Incarnational Listening
  • Climb the Ladder of Integrity
  • Clean Fighting

This impactful eight-week group will equip you with practical tools to love people in difficult situations and mature into an adult follower of Jesus. All EHR groups will be held on Tuesday evenings at Journey starting at 6:30 p.m., and will be a large group/breakout format. Breakout groups will consist of small groups for men, women, and couples.

Here at Journey, we understand that life gets messy, which is why we host our Monday night Care Groups. We’ve formatted these small groups specifically to help those of us who have experienced trials in life, such as marital and parenting issues, divorce, financial obstacles, teen and/or unexpected pregnancies, or grief over many types of loss. Our Care Group leaders have all walked through whatever season of life you find yourself in, and are passionate about teaching you Biblical truths, providing spiritual encouragement, and fostering much-needed community to help you through difficult times.

Regardless of what small group or Bible study you choose, many of our groups have content and/or breakouts specifically for men, women, and couples. Most groups in our Life Track will start as a large group, and will break out into small groups after a brief message. You can view more about each breakout category below.

Our Life Track small groups in Lee’s Summit are a place where people can share in the joys of life together, support each other during difficult times, and grow deep, meaningful relationships with one another—all while fostering a lasting, beneath-the-surface transformation in your relationship with Christ.

Journey’s Life Track groups aren’t just for experiencing life; they’re life-changing, as well. Groups vary based on group content and what season of life you’re in, and meet throughout the week at various locations, including at our church in Lee’s Summit.

Group Childcare

Limited childcare is available for children aged six weeks through 5th grade for small groups that meet at Journey in Lee’s Summit. Childcare is first come, first served for those who register and pay ahead of time. Note that Monday night childcare is ONLY for Care Groups, and does not require payment (but advanced registration is still required.)

The cost of childcare for this semester is $40 per family, regardless of group length.

If you’re in need of childcare, please indicate this in the appropriate field on the individual group registration forms. You will be taken through an additional process after you register for a group to sign up and pay for childcare.

You don’t need any special experience or knowledge to be a group leader. All you need is a heart for Jesus and a willingness to let God use you in new ways.
