Mission Trips
MAKE A GLOBAL IMPACT ON AN INTERNATIONAL MISSION TRIP
We believe everyone should go on at least one mission trip in their lifetime. Not only do we set out to provide much-needed aid and resources to people in developing countries, but we also go into each country praying for transformation – in the lives of those we’re helping, and in our own as well.
The trips we offer from year to year vary. Take a look at some of the upcoming trips we have planned.
MISSION TRIPS IN GUATEMALA
Dates: April 15-22, 2023
Our efforts in Guatemala are part of what’s called Total Village Transformation. Total Village Transformation is a unique opportunity WorldHelp offers to organizations who want to partner with a village in a developing country. This is a special opportunity because it provides the chance for long-term partnership and sustainable impact.
Through Total Village Transformation projects, the adopting church, such as Journey, will help provide the village’s most urgent needs, such as a school, homes, a church building, clean water, and medical clinics.
In Guatemala, through a partnership with Guatemalan organization Hope of Life, our teams will invest in the villages of Las Sidras and Peña Blanca by engaging in work projects, facilitating children’s ministry, supporting the local church, and building relationships through home visits and prayer ministry over a three- to five-year time period. Many trips have a medical component as well, where we do pop-up clinics and minister by meeting the medical needs of families in the villages. Some of the things we do during these clinics include treating malnutrition, providing prenatal care, giving vaccines and vitamins, treating wounds/infections, treating worms, and performing vision exams.
Journey also engages in a child sponsorship program with both Las Sidras and Peña Blanca. Child sponsorship provides a child with nutritious food, durable clothing, school supplies, and medical care. Most importantly, sponsorships help connect children and families with Jesus and the church, which is what we believe will truly transform these communities.

TRIPS TO ISRAEL
Dates: November 7-18, 2023
Step into ancient, sacred places and experience the spiritual journey of a lifetime as we visit Israel. On this 10- to 12-day trip, we’ll be walking in the footsteps of Jesus and visiting some of the most important historical landmarks of Christianity. We will walk in our faith as we visit notable sites from both the Old and New Testaments.
Your knowledge of Scripture and history will be enriched as we tour through key places in Jesus’ life and ministry, such as Galilee, Nazareth, and Jerusalem.
Imagine yourself sitting in a boat on the Sea of Galilee or hearing the teachings of Jesus while standing on the Mount of the Beatitudes.
Experience the Holy Land and all its complexities, listening to stories and growing in your understanding of the Bible, of Christianity, and of your own faith. On this trip, you’re encouraged to ask big questions and engage your faith in a new way as you learn more about the stories and conflicts that existed in the Holy Land during Biblical times, and still persist in some areas today.
You will also have the opportunity to learn from our missionary partners, Tents of Mercy and Beit Eliyahu, who minister to Israel’s diverse population. You will meet with Christians who make their homes in the Holy Land and connect with local leaders and non-profits who have a heart for reconciliation, justice, and sharing the Gospel.
We invite you to see the Bible come to life in a new way and discover renewed hope in Christ Jesus as we walk in His footsteps.
UGANDA MISSION TRIPS
Dates: October 16-27, 2023
As a church, we are excited to be expanding our Total Village Transformation efforts into Uganda. We will be partnering with a ministry that has planted churches and engaged in sustainable community development for over 30 years. With the success of our Total Village Transformation work in Guatemala, we look forward to increasing our reach and our impact.
On this trip, we will spend 8 to 10 days serving the community our church has chosen to partner with. Following the Total Village Transformation model, we’ll begin with funding different projects within this partner community. These projects will likely include building infrastructure, such as schools and churches, as well as establishing much-needed basic resources, such as water wells.
We will also work with kids and teachers in the local schools and partner with ministry leaders in the community for evangelistic outreach. Many of the people in this community have never heard the Gospel, and it is our calling as a church to make this a central part of our outreach efforts in this new area.
It is also a possibility that we will participate in medical clinics in some of the rural areas of Uganda. Similar to the medical clinics we’ve helped with in Guatemala, these clinics will offer villagers a chance to get basic, but much-needed, medical care.
As part of any mission trip, we want you to have plenty of opportunities to learn about the local culture and surroundings. We will finish the trip spending a couple days experiencing the beauty of the country on an African safari before heading home.

MISSION TRIPS IN SCOTLAND
More details coming soon!
In early times, Scotland was boldly starting movements, impacting the world and shaping the future of Christianity. There has been a great spiritual decline over the years and today, it is believed that less than 1% of the population of Scotland are Evangelical Christians. From challenges such as mental health and alcohol abuse, to the opportunities of growing up in a country recognized for its cultural and academic leadership, there’s immense need as well as potential to make a difference in the lives of the diverse youth population.
We are developing multiple local partnerships to help spread the Gospel. We are praying for a revival in Scotland and that God will use Journey to help bring it to the area.
The main purpose of these trips will be evangelical. We will train our team members on how to share their faith with others with confidence and grace. We will serve in the high school where the new church plant meets and will partner with ministries to go out to young people all over Scotland showing them God’s love. In our upcoming trip, we will also be helping a team build a kitchen for a youth camp.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
