Serve Week is back and bigger than ever! Mark your calendars for July 14-21 for our biggest serve opportunity of the year. Serve Week is seven whole days packed with a wide variety of serve projects happening each day. Our goal this year is to complete over 100 projects within the span of a week in order to make a huge impact on our community.
Whether you’re looking to help out around the neighborhood, clean up a local park, give blood, sort donations, or lend a hand at a community youth center, we’ve already got dozens of projects lined up for all ages and abilities. We hope you’ll join us as we come together and show what Kansas City what it looks like to live and serve like Jesus.
We’re kicking off the week with our third annual Race With A Point .5K! Racers will take a lap around our church property and be rewarded in style for finishing the race. All proceeds from the registration fee go to CarePortal, a ministry partner who helps support foster and at-risk families. The race is happening on Sunday, July 14 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. right here at Journey. Sign up and lace up!
Join us for a mobile mammogram event at Journey on July 15 from 8:00 A.M. to noon in our front parking lot. Early detection is crucial for cancer diagnoses, and this convenient service brings high-quality breast cancer screening right to our door. No need for a doctor’s referral, but please bring your insurance card with you. Call (913) 344-9989 to schedule your appointment today and take a proactive step for your health.
Did you know that just one pint of blood can save three lives? We invite you to be a hero and make a significant impact in our community by donating blood. We’re hosting a blood drive at the church on Thursday, July 18th from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the Auditorium. A brief physical screening will be performed first and snacks and drinks will be provided. You must have an appointment in order to donate.
